Clear Channel Bans The Boss
There is one corporate entity, however, that would love it if nobody heard the new Bruce Springsteen album. Clear Channel, the same company that banned the Dixie Chicks for saying they were ashamed to be from the same state as George W. Bush, are now telling their radio stations not to play any material off of Magic.
Other media outlets and blogs are citing “ageism” as the reason for the Clear Channel exclusion of the Boss (now 58). Clear Channel hasn’t been spinning anything from the most recent John Fogerty release or Annie Lennox’s new release.
Whatever the reason, is banishing good music from America’s airwaves the way to save the already troubled music industry?
Looks like you’ll have to buy the album to listen for yourself
