Thomas has given us some of the most enduring hits in popular music, such as “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head,” “Hooked On A Feeling” and “(Hey Won’t You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song.” And while his latest CD, Love to Burn, does not have anything of that caliber, it does offer plenty of the positive-themed songs for which Thomas has become known.

B.J. Thomas has given us some of the most enduring hits in popular music, such as “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head,” “Hooked On A Feeling” and “(Hey Won’t You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song.” And while his latest CD, Love to Burn, does not have anything of that caliber, it does offer plenty of the positive-themed songs for which Thomas has become known. The easy, soft-rock sound of Thomas’s heyday is highlighted in tracks like “A Song for You” and “Heaven’s Gotta Help.” However, the standout on the album is a cover of Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel,” which Thomas makes his own with his distinctive vocals. This disc is Thomas’s first studio release in a decade, and the debut album on his new label, B.J. Thomas Music.
