MARTIN > 5k Ukulele
LIST PRICE: $5,199.00
WEBSITE: MARTIN
There is a secret society of instrument collectors who would love to keep their identities private, and their million-dollar ukulele collections even more private. Alright, quit sweatin’…I ain’t naming names.
Here’s the deal; George Harrison was an avid vintage Martin Ukulele collector. He wrote many of his best-known compositions on uke, and as a result, a cult community of Harrison-esque collectors took form.
The 5k uke is a work of art built for such collectors, and they praise/hoard these gems when they get their hands on one. A tiny soprano acoustic with more inlay than Pamela Anderson, the 5k uke features a highly flamed Hawaiian Koa body with Sitka spruce-top braces, grained ivoroid-binding and a bone nut.
This is a fantastic ukulele for a collector or a very serious uke enthusiast looking for a surefire return of a pretty pricey investment. If you know of a retailer who carries the 5k uke, take the time to sit down and play on this work of art.

I don’t know if the Hawaiian term “pono” can be applied to objects, but this uke must be. Thanks for even showin’ it.
