Man Man makes you want to put on a crooked hat and jaunty smile with their joyously twisted, carnival atmosphere-inducing brand of music. Nothing is exactly straight forward with Man Man, who instead travel the quirky angles and bent grooves revolving around funk, soul, jazz, rock and ferris wheels that on the surface may seem little more than some cast off party sounds, but instead are a well-construed effort that takes genre bending to a new and perhaps now unattainable level. But rather than dwell on what might be, Man Man create something that is not found anywhere else, and in the current homogenized musical landscape, this band is an island of fun.
