First off, they incorporate sounds and styles from early Beatles a la early US rock n’ roll, plus they use the sensitivities of contemporary artists like Jennifer Charles (in her Elysian Fields recordings and perhaps Lovage as well). Add the flavors of Camera Obscura, and I am completely in bliss. I could go on and on about the derivative sounds that these three bring to the table, but just give it a listen and you’ll be wrapt up like a Christmas prez, I promise.
