To follow up last year’s Microcastle, experimental rock group Deerhunter has recorded Rainwater Cassette Exchange, a 5-track EP coming out in digital, CD and vinyl formats.

The downloadable version will come out May 18, and the other two formats will hit stores three weeks later. Kranky is releasing the U.S. copies; 4AD is releasing the album internationally.
Deerhunter again recorded with producer Nicolas Verhes at Brooklyn’s Rare Book Room studios, according to Pitchfork.com.
The band from Atlanta, Georgia, be jammin’ with a bit of Caribbean flavor on the EP’s title track, which you can sample via Pitchfork.
