On August 25, Tompkins Square Records will release Tim Buckley: Live at the Folklore Center, NYC – March 6th, 1967. The disc captures an intimate performance from the jazz-folk pioneer early in his career, playing in front of 35 people at the famed Greenwich Village hang out. The gig’s set list draws from Buckley’s 1966 self-titlted debut and Goodbye and Hello, his 1967 followup. Six tracks, however, have never appeared on record — “Just Please Leave Me,” “What Do You Do (He Never Saw You),” “Carnival Song,” “Cripples Cry,” “Country Boy” and “I Can’t Leave You Loving Me.”

The album also comes with an unpublished interview Folklore Center owner Izzy Young conducted with Buckley, who died of a heroin overdose in 1975 at the age of 28.
