Thom Yorke of Radiohead has had a busy weekend. At yesterday’s Latitude festival in Suffolk, England, Yorke appeared on the main stage during the opening set and played a dozen Radiohead and solo tracks during his hour-long performance. Midway through his show, Yorke surprised the crowd with an unexpected comment. “This is a new song, so you know — go for a piss.” He then launched into “The Present Tense,” an acoustic track that features a beautiful, fingerpicked melody and personal lyrics. Besides the new song, fans also heard Yorke perform multiple parts of the songs in his set. On “Harrowdown Hill,” Yorke covered the bass, keyboard, and guitar parts while simultaneously playing, recording, and looping the segments on stage. While on “Black Swan” and “Everything In Its Right Place,” Yorke played guitar and drum beats together.

Over the weekend, it was revealed that Yorke might have some material featured on the soundtrack of New Moon, the Twilight sequel. Chris Wentz , the director of New Moon, revealed in an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, “Everything is still kind of up in the air, but I am surprised at some of the bands that have said they’re interested. It’s kind of great. The criterion will still always be what’s right for the movie at that given moment, but Thom Yorke is interested.” In addition, Wentz also noted, “We might, if we’re very lucky, get Kings of Leon to do something.”

New Moon comes out November 20.
