Better than anything else online that i read about him. I've been obsessed with Jim Carroll, his life, his poetry & music since I first saw the Basketball Diaries in 95. I was a 15 yr old druggie poet and well... related to it. His poetry changed my own vision, my own understanding of what was "allowed" or possible. I will miss knowing he is amongst us, that he breathes and therefore creates. What a great article ! Better than anything else online that i read about him.
