I found out about Pete Molinari after I bought a vintage "Prestige" guitar and was trying to find (via, the electric library), history of "said" guitar. Totally, and completely by happenstance, I found myself on EbayUK, and saw this "Old Picture" of this cat from the sixties wahlen on a "classic" axe! I mean he was a cross between Johny Rivers and "Sam the Sham" down to a tee. I know the look, and more importantly, the "Vibe" of the look. How, do you say?, because I grew up in 'em, and can smell it. So, there this guy was, and as I tried to figure out the age of the photo, I realised it was a recent pic! Do what? Scrolled down the page and clicked "it came out of the wilderness". Holy **it, I couldn't belive it! I read on after a couple of songs and after learning about his "roots", was amazed! Yea, he's got a few steps "to traverse, but, I will tell you, the Boy's got it. I mean G-O-T IT! In this day and age of pre-programed electronic Hi-VolUME colonics, Here he was, and is. "The Real Deal" bud. He's got a chance to make it good. Who does this stuff at all, Now, I mean (and you can tell it's from the chest pumper)... No one who aint dead!
Nope, Mr. Molinari is in his element, of the "southern, earthen kind". Just when you thought Nashville, Hell, "anywhereville" could not bring forth to the"Front Line"of the musical stage and deep through the briar's and bob wire of corporate mediocrity wraped in plastic and a key stroke away, "convulsions" of the ear, called so called music, here, a real and present talent. Not the kind seen since Hank and Patsy, Bob and Jonhny...thats right, just listen. If you don't hear it friend, change the channel, and let another in by the fire. Because he, "it"...
"it came out of the wilderness"... To the Oasis. Thank God! I was dying of thirst and didn't know it...

I'm sorry i just don't agree. Totally over rated and too be honest i could pick any of his tracks and play you another by a well established artist that would be 100% better. Unfortunately in this day and age its easier to rip someone e off, rather than try and explore new sounds and musical vision. Great voice, but average songwriter.

Pete Molinari is a great artist and, he easily released the best album of 2008 with "A Virtual Landslide" ! Why he isn't widely known in the USA as of yet is beyond rational thinking and common sence.
