In "Robin and Marian," Robin and Marian aren't flawed because they're socialists. I'm a socialist. "If Only" certainly doesn't eschew politics--it's the most political song I'll probably ever write. Unfocused, though? I'll take that. I made the record over a period of three years, it's bound to sound a little uneven. I'll tell you, though--these are the tricks I learned outside of college, not the tricks I learned in college. That's for the next album.
