Irish Eyes Are Smiling: Hansard, Bono, Mundy and Rice Busk For Charity
On December 24, Glen Hansard of the Swell Season returned to Dublin’s Grafton Street, where the opening to the movie Once was filmed, to busk for charity. He was soon joined by fellow Irishmen Bono, Damien Rice and singer-songwriter Mundy, for what must have been an amazing hour of music.
The four tenors’ impromptu performance, which included versions of “One,” “Stand By Me,” “Knocking On Heaven’s Door,” and Mic Christopher’s ‘Heyday,’ raised money for for Simon Community, an organization which benefits Ireland’s homeless population.
