Jack White And Jay-Z Let The Creative Juices Flow

Jack White (movie still)

Jack White has made good on his desire to collaborate with a famous rapper.

“I just did a record with Jay-Z,” Jack White tells the British edition of GQ. “We did a song together a few weeks ago. It was incredible. I played him something that I’ve been kicking around for a while and he immediately came out with words for it. It’s unbelievable-sounding.”

The two artists are no strangers to genre-hopping. The White Stripe/Raconteur/Dead Weather drummer has collaborated with R&B star Alicia Keys and country music legend Loretta Lynn in the past. Jay-Z has teamed with Chris Martin from Coldplay, John Mayer, Linkin Park, and U2. And, oh yes, Alicia Keys.

Stay tuned for details on the song’s title and release date.
