Farm Aid Turns 25

Videos by American Songwriter

In its twenty-fifth year, Farm Aid’s annual benefit concert shows no signs of slowing down. Started in 1985 by Young, Nelson and Mellencamp as a way to help family farmers keep their land in a time of economic hardship, Farm Aid has been an advocate for farmers’ rights ever since, raising over 37 million dollars for the cause. The 2010 concert will be held in Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 2nd. Tickets go on sale August 14th with Farm Aid members being able to purchase them August 6th. Also included in membership is access to videos of past concerts as well as the ability to watch this year’s show online.

Update: in an earlier version of this post, we mistakenly printed last year’s line-up… Sorry. Too much time on Willie’s farm.
