Billy Currington releases his fourth album, Enjoy Yourself, September 21 on Mercury Nashville. A Georgia native and former personal trainer in Nashville, Currington has found much success in the wide world of country music, having sold more than two million records to date.

His new album is a laid-back, feel-good affair that welds the sounds of pop country with beach music.

The new album comes on the heels of his last release, Little Bit of Everything, which served up three number one hits, including “People Are Crazy,” a tune written by Troy Jones and Bobby Braddock. (Click here to read our Legends interview with Braddock.)

Accompanied by his lead guitarist and bassist, Currington played several of his hits at the American Songwriter office, including “That’s How Country Boys Roll” and “Pretty Good At Drinkin’ Beer.” The session marked the first time the band had played the latter tune in a live setting. – CAINE O’REAR

These songs were recorded and mixed by Steve Martin for American Songwriter.
