Video: Chip Taylor And Carrie Rodriguez, “Storybook Children”

Videos by American Songwriter

Some things just go great together, especially the combination of Carrie Rodriguez and Chip Taylor.

Rodriguez brings the fiddle, flash, and country sweetness, and Taylor, a veteran songwriter responsible for such hits as “Wild Thing” and “Angel of the Morning,” brings the gravitas and hard-earned wisdom.

We’re proud to debut the brand new video for “Storybook Children,” off their album The New Bye & Bye – The Best of the Train Wreck Years 2002 – 2007, featuring 13 of their greatest collaborations, plus four brand new ones. The video was filmed in lower Manhattan, by the pier, a surprisingly urban location for a gorgeously melancholy song with just a hint of country twang. Check it out below and enter “a wonderland where nothing’s planned for tomorrow.”
