Dude, where’s my bus?
At 4:20 a.m. Sunday morning (which is funny in and of itself), Minneapolis band Gayng’s bus, containing all their gear and belongings, was reported missing, in what was seemingly yet another case of burglars stealing rockers’ equipment.
In actuality, the bus, which belonged to CJ Star Buses, was recalled by the Nashville-based transportation company, who claim Gayngs failed to pay a 6,000 dollar bill they owed. Bus-ted.
“If CJ takes your bus away from you, it’s either because you’re tearing it up or you didn’t pay me,” CJ Curtsinger of CJ Star Buses told the Star Tribune. “Ask anybody: I’m one of the fairest guys in the business.” The band, who are managed by Nate Vernon (brother of Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon), have yet to offer their side of the story, but dispute the claim.
The band’s gear and belongings will be returned. Gayngs latest album, Relayted, is out on Jagjaguwar Records. The band includes members of Bon Iver, Megafaun, and The Rosebuds.
