Guild GAD-50E Contest Winner Announced

Dale Ksionzyk has been selected as the winner in our Guild GAD-50E Contest. Dale has been writing songs for six years and is just beginning work recording his first album. He says he writes “story-based songs with a little rock edge or an upbeat sense of living life in the moment,” citing Steve Earle and Zac Brown Band as influences. “I finally reached the point where I’m feeling good with the songs and my guitar playing ability and I’m starting to lay down tracks,” Dale says. I’ve been searching for the right acoustic sound. I’ve played a number of Guilds and I’ve always been a fan of their distinctive tone and quality feel. But financially it’s always been hard to splurge on the quality acoustic that I would hold onto for a lifetime. I read American Songwriter and stop by the site so of course I threw my name in the hat when I saw the drawing. But I’m in shock right now that I was lucky enough to be selected. I’ve got a big smile on my face and I’m already trying to figure out which song to record with the Guild first. Many thanks to everyone at American Songwriter and Guild Guitars.
