The latest leg of Kings of Leons’ Come Around Sundown tour has been postponed, due to drummer Nathan Followill’s need for recovery following surgery for a torn bicep. Followill underwent surgery on his arm earlier this month.

“1st day of rehab just kicked my ass,” he tweeted on January 21. “I am one sore puppy. I can’t wait to be back to normal. I miss 2 armed activities. Especially hugging.”

The Kings were scheduled to play shows in South Africa and Australia. The platinum-selling rockers are still on track to headline the 2011 Coachella Festival in Indio, California on April 15. Read our recent cover story on the band here.

Followill also tweeted yesterday that he’d been hanging out with the Black Keys’ Patrick Carney, a fellow Nashville resident:

“Hanging out with @Patrickcarney listening 2 70’s funky grooves. Record number 6 is gonna be 1 sexy son of a bitch. Thanks 4 the inspiration.”
