After releasing their highly acclaimed debut album in 2009, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit are hoping lightning strikes twice with Here We Rest.
According to the press release, the album ranges from “country-infused folk” to “old school R&B,” and includes a cover of soul singer Candi Staton’s “Heart On A String.”
Here We Rest was recorded at Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and at the NuttHouse in Sheffield, Alabama. The band will unveil selections from the album at SXSW, and follow up with a national tour in April. Check out the track listing below. We can’t wait to hear “The Ballad Of Nobeard.”
