Big Fish Audio
Contruction Kits: Nashville Sessions
List Price: $99.95
For songwriters, composers, cowboy boot enthusiasts, or anyone looking to employ some of the most talented Nashville session players into their projects (for far less money than a live session’s costs), Big Fish Audio brings you Nashville Sessions. Meticulously recorded, and performed by Nashville session aces like Jonathan Lawson and Charlie Hutto, the DVD includes 7.5 GB of total content, including 3GB of audio files, in 24-bit Acid WAV, Stylus RMX, Rex2, and Apple Loops formats, for use in most of today’s various DAWs. An extras folder includes 67 fiddles, 23 guitars, and 58 mandolin loops in addition to the featured instruments. This amounts to 1,021 original audio files that can add a healthy dose of Nashville twang to your session. Featured instruments include drums, bass, pedal steel, fiddle, mandolin, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar. 22 construction kits, at various keys and tempos ranging from 80bpm to 150bpm, are the highlight of Nashville Sessions. Each construction kit includes drums, bass, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, lead guitar, and pedal steel guitar. Mandolin and piano also are included in some kits. Though the parts stick pretty close to traditional country and western patterns and rhythms, the tones and drums sounds have a good deal of variance, so you can get ambient or more vintage sounds, in addition to licks and riffs that would sound at home in any of today’s pop-country productions. These loops work extremely well for building songs for demos, or adding country swing to your final tracks, and considering the musicians included on this DVD, it’s an incredible value.
