Neil Young Readies Vintage Live Album A Treasure

Videos by American Songwriter

Neil Young is set to release a new live album, recorded on his U.S. tours between 1984 and 1985. A Treasure, out June 14, will include five previously unreleased songs. One of these, “Grey Riders,” will be serviced to radio. The recordings feature the Canadian icon performing with fellow country greats the International Harvesters.

“I love this record,” Young said. “I hadn’t heard these takes in 25 years, but when we unearthed them co-producer Ben Keith said, ‘This is a treasure.’”

A Treasure will be released from Reprise Records on limited edition vinyl on May 24, followed by CD, Blu-ray, and digital formats on June 14. The album may be pre-ordered starting April 12.
