- Nashville songwriter Jim Lauderdale performs Saturday with Donna the Buffalo. Lauderdale’s new album, Patchwork River, is a collaboration with Robert Hunter, the esteemed Grateful Dead lyricist. Lauderdale also performed with Elvis Costello at the festival. photo by Jamie Younger
- Dierks Bentley and the Traveling McCourys delivered a spirited set Friday afternoon on the Merle Watson stage. Dierks recorded his new album, Up On the Ridge, with the McCourys, the first family of traditional bluegrass. Mando wizard Sam Bush joined the boys on stage for the album’s title track. Other highlights included a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Senor (Tales of Yankee Power).” Dierks told the crowd he stole the “Senor” arrangement from Tim O’Brien. photo by Jamie Younger
