Sessions: Robert Ellis

Videos by American Songwriter

We opened our doors to Robert Ellis, a Texas singer-songwriter with country leanings whose New West debut, Photographs, has been lodged in our stereos for months.  Ellis brought along a pedal steel guitar player and a sack full of songs, including “Westbound Train,” which the long-haired troubadour told us was inspired by the pain he felt after his friend and ex-girlfriend hooked up.
