We’re excited to premiere the video for “Let The Meter Run,” a warm and sweetly folky track off Mississippi singer-songwriter Charlie Mars’ acclaimed new album, Blackberry Light.
“In an increasingly global and complex world, sometimes its easy to overlook the simple things,” Mars tells American Songwriter. “When I was a kid, I loved videos with cars, girls, and good times. ‘Let The Meter Run’ was filmed in one of my favorite towns, Austin, Texas, and we drummed up a car, a girl, and a good time, for this one. It’s my love letter to Austin.”
