Coming To A Town Near You: The 2013 Revival Tour

Five years ago, Chuck Ragan took a short break from Hot Water Music to launch the Revival Tour, an annual acoustic tour featuring performances by a rotating group of Americana artists, indie-folksters and punk-rockers. Like a stripped-down, tattooed version of the Rolling Thunder Revue, the Revival Tour allowed performers to jump onstage with one another, resulting in something that didn’t resemble a concert as much as an old-school hootenanny, with spontaneous jams occurring every night.

What began as a collaboration between friends has since grown into something bigger, and the 2013 Revival Tour — featuring Ragan, The Loved Ones’ Dave Hause, Rise Against’s Tim McIlrath, Rocky Votolato, Jenny Owen Youngs, Jenny O., and other special guests — will launch on March 15th in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Seeing and hearing a group of players and singers that I admire enter the bus and stage as strangers and leave as life-long friends is nothing short of a modern-day miracle to me. Not to mention the memorable collaborations, recordings, and one of kind moments that folks leave behind while sharing good music with good people along the way.
