Watch The Living Sisters Spice Up “Que Sera, Sera”

Videos by American Songwriter

The Living Sisters want you to have a funky good time. Why else would they release an EP of covers that includes renditions of Funkadelic’s “Can You Get To That?” and Sly and The Family Stone’s “Que Sera, Sera”?

The six-track Run For Cover is the followup to their 2010 debut album Love To Live. Watch Alex Lilly, Inara George, Becky Stark and Eleni Mandell tackle a stripped-down “Que Sera, Sera” (originally released in 1956 and performed by Doris Day) below.

“I think the poignancy of this song is often overlooked,” says Mandell. “The Sly Stone version is so soulful that I fell in love with it the moment I heard the bass line at the top of the song. I hope our version will remind people that the song is really special & will make people smile.”
