The Front Bottoms Stir Up Trouble With “Mountain”

Here’s an explosive (kind of) video from New Jersey’s The Front Bottoms, an indie-punk duo with a penchant for fun. The song, “Mountain,” hails from their eponymous Bar/None debut.

“We had picked up a bunch of fireworks on tour and when we got home we had a few days off,” explains drummer/bullhorn operator Matt Uychich. “So, we called up our good friend Mark Jaworski and asked him if he wanted to bring his camera along, drink Four Loko and light them off.

“Side note, it was an extremely dangerous thing to do. When we arrived at the property my mother’s friend said we could use, we knocked on the door just to make sure it was still okay. Some old man answered and seemed pretty confused, but didn’t seem to care. Side note, on the way home my mom called me and asked me why we didn’t go to her friends house. I guess we went to the wrong house… It was fun because we were playing with this old guy’s dogs and walking into his house to use the bathroom. He made us hotdogs that we all ate together. Hope you enjoy this project we made.”
