Working with Trent Dabbs, one of our favorite Nashville songwriters, Young Summer delivers on this a bittersweet, pop-synth debut. Strains of Beach House and Florence & the Machine swell from this single from her upcoming album, due in early May. We are also jealous of her favorite concert experience below. Sounds like heaven.

ARTIST: Young Summer

SONG: “Fever Dream”

BIRTHDATE: 01/12/85

BIRTHPLACE:  Maryland

AMBITIONS: To have everyone singing along

TURN-OFFS: Complaining

TURN-ONS: Comedy and Compassion. I love people with a good sense of humor and a willingness to aid a turtle crossing a busy street.

DREAM GIG: I’m doing it now.  Making music with people that are insanely talented.

TV ADDICTIONS: Real Housewives of….any city (don’t tell anyone!)

CELEBRITY CRUSH: Jack White

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Ryan Adams at the Meyerhoff Symphony Orchestra Hall circa 2005.  He had enjoyed several bottles of wine and ended up hopping off the stage.  He played the rest of the show right in front of me on a bar stool.  It was heaven.

THE BOOK THAT CHANGED MY LIFE: There are a many but the one that has changed my life most recently is “Bossy Pants” by Tina Fey.  Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, or title. So many nuggets of wisdom.

I NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT: Spritzing myself with perfume.  My favorite is Stella McCartney’s “In Two Peony.”

I WROTE THIS SONG: with Trent Dabbs about missing someone and everything those feelings evoke.
