MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: I went to see Drive By Truckers in Boston. I can’t remember the venue. I didn’t know anybody there and stood in the middle of the crowd on my own. The audience wasn’t really giving the band any vibe back but they were enjoying it, and at some point the band just turned and started doing the show for each other (and their handle of bourbon), and I was completely transported.

I WROTE THIS SONG: about lust, love and the difficulty we have deciding which of these emotions we are experiencing. I was imagining the situations that would clarify these feelings. A week like we have just had in Boston or the end of the world…those kinds of things send me running for the people I really love.
