Van Morrison Moondance Deluxe product shot

Videos by American Songwriter

2013 has been a good year to revisit the classics: From John Fogerty’s Wrote A Song For Everyone and Steve Earle’s The Warner Bro. Years to Bob Dylan’s AmericanramA tour and Paul McCartney’s show-stopping Bonnaroo set, there has been no forgetting the roots and influences of so much of modern music. Not one to be left out, Van Morrison is releasing a remastered edition of the 1970 breakthrough album Moondance.

The re-release will be available in CD and digital form, with the former available in three length options: single disc, double disc, or 5-disc set. Along with the polished up original Moondance tracks, fans will be treated to unreleased tracks and studio outtakes. (The 2-disc set features one disc/11 tracks of unreleased material, the 5-disc set boasts three whole CDs of new material.)

For the truly committed, the complete package also provides a booklet of liner notes from Alan White and a Blu-ray audio disc presented in 5.1 surround sound, all bundled in a “linen-wrapped folio.”

Prices range from $11.98 – $69.98 and will be available September 30 from Warner Bros. Records.
