Counterintuitive as it may be, we sure do like to fill out our session space with multi-instrumental ensembles – if they happen to be related, even better – and so the Wheeler Brothers were an obvious choice for our most recent in-office performance. The Wheelers – Patrick, Nolan and Tyler – are joined by A.J. Molyneaux and Nathan Rigney and together, the Austin-based fivesome make what they describe as rough-and-tumble Americana.

Performing “My Time” off their new album Gold Boots Glitter, The Wheeler Brothers showed us just what that means, proving just why it is they find touring and playing live so conducive to connecting with the audience. And in a stripped down session like this, there’s really no denying the charisma, tightness and technical wherewithal of the show.
