HOMETOWN: Memphis, TN

CURRENT LOCATION: Nashville, TN

AMBITIONS: Write songs that inspire people; become pro-wrestlers /astrophysicists

TURN-ONS: Intelligence, Wittiness, being attractive…

DREAM GIG: Opening for the Rolling Stones

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” by the Rolling Stones

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Bob Dylan, Dave Chappelle, Trey Parker, Willie Nelson, and Bruce Springsteen

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Going to see the Kings of Leon live in Memphis (I (Grant) almost got punched in the face by a very intoxicated person, but he missed…plus the Kings played an amazing set)

I WROTE THIS SONG: The process leading up to this song’s fruition is a bit hazy in my memory. However, I remember toying with the idea of “I’m Nobody” with our co-writer (Trey Bruce). After about 45 minutes of exploration on the title I was just about ready to scrap it because I couldn’t see how we were going to make a song that wasn’t depressing and wimpy. But someone said something about nobody loving a girl. This concept brought the song into a much more surprising and interesting direction.
