The whole thing opens up with “Letter From Down the Road… And Other Things,” a traditional tune laced with fiddle, mandolin and other tricks of the twangy trade. It isn’t revivalist music, but it does have one foot in the past, rustling up the best parts of early 20th century folk music and combining it with something crisp and modern. In the song’s music video, the bandmates hit up the local bowling alley and turn the greased-up lanes into a makeshift stage, strumming their way through some impressive instrumental workouts along the way.

We heard Laura Boosinger’s version of this playful traditional song,” says founder and fiddle player Kimber Ludiker, “and decided to take it for a spin of our own. This video captures the amount of fun we had recording this song at Cash Cabin Studios, using John Hartford’s fiddle. It was a complete dream come true. Guitarist Courtney Hartman wrote the fiddle tune at the end called ‘And Other Things.'”
