I want a family, a ranch home and tons of animals.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: 08/09/09 – A twitter post via John Mayer or his team said – “The John Mayer Trio is having a secret show tonight at the Troubador in Hollywood. Wristbands are 20 bucks and limited, so first come first serve at the box office until they are gone.” – Well I was an hour south of Hollywood and had school. Neither stopped me. I was “sick” that day. Literally upon reading that twitter post (which mind you I am not some avid tweeter who is always tweeting… It was fate I tell you) I flipped a U-Turn and hopped on the FWY, nearly wrecked my car 8 times and screeched into Hollywood. No joke I was given the last one they had. I waiting in line a while. Ended up in the very front and noticed Rene Martinez (Who is Mayer’s guitar tech but was also Stevie Ray Vaughan’s tech who I am a big fan of) tweaking some guitars. I walked over near him, introduced myself, said I was a huge Stevie fan etc… You know that creepy annoying guy. The show was insane… and afterward we met Steve and Pino. Rene called me over near the stage, pulled the setlist off the stage floor and also gave me a guitar pick. This was the coolest thing ever for a younger guitar playin’ songwriter.

I WROTE THIS SONG: With “Carry You Home” I had this backyard ramble vibe in mind when I came up with it. I had envisioned a driving kick throughout and some clapping as well. When I listen back I kind of make my up own movie with the imagery. It came from an honest and positive place. I wanted to communicate a sense of reassurance. Letting someone you care about know that you are nothing like the ghosts of his/her past. Many of us have had relationships that we kept going for much longer than we should have. The message conveyed is that you want this other person to know you are different and you are truly committed to the ups and downs that may come. This is a special love or person and you want to “share this road” with them. No matter the obstacles you will be there to “carry” them home.
