Zac Brown Band And Dave Grohl Legitimately Rock The CMA Awards

During last night’s CMA Awards, which celebrated mainstream country music in all its cheesy, unapologetic glory, Zac Brown Band legitimately rocked the house – with an assist from Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl. The Georgia-bred band has always straddled the line between country and “other,” and love to blur the lines – hence their Metallica cover at this year’s Sailing Southern Ground Fest.

With Grohl flailing away at the drum kit, ZBB broke barriers with their four-and-a-half minute, powerhouse run-through of their brand new song “Day For The Dead,” impressing with raw instrumental talent, impressive vocal harmonies, and genuine emotion.
