If Savannah didn’t already win you over in season four of NBC-TV’s The Voice, then it’s safe to say she’ll win you over now. “I Should Have Known”, co-written with Kristian Bush of Sugarland, will leave you wondering how she didn’t steal the show. You can buy more of Savannah’s music here

ARTIST: Savannah Berry

SONG: “I Should Have Known

BIRTHDATE: 01/10/95

HOMETOWN: Missouri City, TX (just outside of Houston)

CURRENT LOCATION: Probably somewhere between Houston and Nashville

AMBITIONS: Travel to new places and sing songs for people that I wrote from my heart.

TURN-OFFS: Big egos, lack of humor, and the inside of bell peppers (just looking at the seeds make me itchy! Ugh)

TURN-ONS: Heart to heart conversations, laughing until your stomach hurts, and sweet potato fries. YUM.

DREAM GIG: The Grammy’s! or host / perform on SNL

FAVORITE LYRIC: “I guess it’s true that love was all you wanted, cause you’re giving it away like it’s extra change.  Hoping it will end up in his pocket.  But he leaves you out like a penny  in the rain.”   “Tied Together With A Smile” by Liz Rose & Taylor Swift

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: My Grandma.  She always makes friends with strangers and isn’t afraid to dance or sing in public.  She’s also really funny when she misspells things over text.  She scared me when she said she was making “gorilla soup” instead of tortilla soup…

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITHKelly Clarkson (first inspiration), Kellie Pickler (Hilarious), Ellen Degeneres (also HILARIOUS), Blake Shelton (drunk and hilarious) and Emma Stone (red hair & hilarious)…yeah, you wish you were at this table.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: My Dad & I were in Nashville and actually scored some sweet tickets to Taylor Swift! haha.  I remember standing so close to the stage and turning around to see the audience and the flashing lights.  Tears came to my eyes and I knew this is what I wanted to do.  Dream big right?

I WROTE THIS SONG: While writing “I Should Have Known” with Kristian Bush (half the duo: Sugarland), my mind kept going to the times we all fall in love with someone or something that we know will probably end up hurting us in the end.  There’s that voice in the back of your head saying, “this isn’t a good idea…” but every now and then we become so blinded by what we want, we don’t see what’s really there…and we end up learning our lessons the hard way.
