Videos by American Songwriter

ARTIST: Connor Zwetsch

SONG: “Candy Bars”

HOMETOWN: Tampa, Florida

CURRENT LOCATION: Tampa, Florida

AMBITIONS: I aspire to tour the world playing my music, and I’d like to one day direct/film a music video.

TURN-OFFS: Lacking authenticity.

TURN-ONS: Being passionate and doing what you love, wholeheartedly.

DREAM GIG: Red Rock Amphitheater would be pretty incredible.

FAVORITE LYRIC: That’s so impossible for me to answer but I have “you learn” tattooed on my right arm which was chosen because I absolutely love Alanis Morissette’s song, “You Learn.”

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “Somebody I Used to Know” – Gotye

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Influential songwriters in my life such as; Greg Alexander of New Radicals, Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty, Alanis Morissette. One of the five has to be Gabrielle LeGendre AKA my beautiful girlfriend and lastly, it’d be awesome to sit down with a credible psychic, maybe John Edward? Any credible psychic.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: My favorite concert experience was getting to see a private Matchbox Twenty concert and standing directly in front of the stage. It was a private event for a group of old, wealthy couples who pay to have awesome artists fly in and play shows a couple times a year for all of their friends. My buddy ended up opening the show for them and I stood front row surrounded by a bunch of drunken 50 year olds singing every word.

I WROTE THIS SONG BECAUSE… It kind of just happened and I went with it.
