ARTIST: Mayscorn

SONG: “Nothing To Do”‘

HOMETOWN: NYC

CURRENT LOCATION: NYC

AMBITIONS: To work harder at finding ways to write non-formulaic songs while keeping them easy for fans to enjoy.

TURN-OFFS: Songs about cats.

TURN-ONS: Songs that write themselves.

DREAM GIG: MSG

FAVORITE LYRIC: “Fools in love, is there anything more pathetic. Fools in love, gently tear each other limb from limb…”

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “Happy Birthday To You”

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH:Raoul Duke, Daniel Lanois, Jack Kerouac, Joeseph Campbell, Mom (I guess I’ll need to show this list to my therapist, as all but one of these people have passed on… can you guess who’s still alive?)

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: Too many to call…but when pressed….  Michael Hedges at The Bottom Line.

I WROTE THIS SONG BECAUSE…A. It’s what we do   B. This song came easy, I’d say the lyric started out as a weird mix of boredom, yet having too much to get done in a day. Then, it’s sweetness reminded me of why I do all these things for my lover, so it went there.
