Aoife O’Donovan just announced In the Magic Hour, a new studio album that will drop via Yep Roc Records on January 22. The Tucker Martine-produced project will include contributions from Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, Chris Thile, Nate Query (The Decemberists) and several others. Nine of the album’s ten tracks are O’Donovan originals, with the tenth a cover of the traditional Irish tune “Donal Óg,” which features recordings of her late grandfather’s vocals.
