HBO Premieres Trailer for Martin Scorcese and Mick Jagger’s Vinyl

HBO has premiered the trailer for Vinyl, an upcoming music-centered series executive produced by Martin Scorcese and Mick Jagger.

The scripted series is set in 1970s New York City, just as punk, disco and hip-hop were forming. The main focus is record label president Richie Finestra, played by Bobby Cannavale, who is trying to salvage his company, as well as his soul. Vinyl’s supporting cast includes Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Ato Essandoh and Max Casella. Boardwalk Empire‘s Terence Winter, who previously worked with Scorcese on The Wolf of Wall Street, will serve as showrunner when the show premieres in January.
